Learn a gentle way to create more room in your body when your jaw, neck, and shoulders are holding too much.
Have you ever finished a difficult phone call, closed your laptop, or walked away from a tense moment - and told yourself you were fine? You rationalised it. You decided it was over. You moved on to the next task.
But an hour later, you noticed your shoulders were still hovering near your ears. Your jaw was still clamped shut. Your breathing was still shallow.
When we encounter tension, conflict, or the pressure to keep things smooth for others, our nervous system prepares for action. We pull our shoulders up to protect our neck. We clench our jaw to brace for impact. This is a brilliant, protective design.
The problem is what happens next. The conversation ends, but the body has not received the signal that the event is over. It is still holding the protective posture.
When you notice that tension, your first instinct might be to force it away. You stretch aggressively. You tell yourself to "just relax." But to a nervous system that is still protecting you, forcing relaxation feels like dropping your shield while you are still in danger.
There is a gentler way to signal safety.
This is a free 30-minute class where we will practice simple, body-based ways to notice where you are holding too much - and learn how to safely invite a little more room.
We will not be doing intense workouts, complicated theory, or deep trauma processing. We will simply practice coming back to the body.
You will learn gentle fascial manoeuvres and somatic tools to help you:
• Notice when your body is bracing without judging yourself.
• Send a clear, safe signal to your nervous system that a stressful moment is over.
• Soften the tension in your jaw, neck, and shoulders without forcing it.
• Create a little more space and ease in your physical body, so you do not have to carry the day's urgency into your evening.

It is gentle: The movements and practices are designed to be accessible and supportive.
It is optional: You are always in choice. You can modify any practice, or simply sit and listen if that is what your body needs today.
It is practical: You will walk away with a tool you can use immediately the next time you feel your shoulders start to climb.
Hi I'm Tracy,
I work as a somatic therapist, and I know what it feels like to carry the weight of everyone else's needs in your neck and shoulders. For years, I was a master at keeping things smooth - and my body paid the physical cost of that invisible labour.
I created this class because I want you to know that you do not have to fight your tension. When we learn to work with our nervous system instead of against it, releasing that brace becomes gentle, not forceful. I would love to share these tools with you.
No. Just bring yourself, wear comfortable clothing you can move gently in, and find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted for 30 minutes.
Please register anyway! A replay link will be sent to everyone on the list shortly after the class ends, and it will be available to watch for a week after the class.
No. This is a gentle somatic and fascial release practice. We will be doing small, intentional movements and awareness exercises, not building a sweat.
While these tools are drawn from somatic and nervous-system work, this class is educational and experiential. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, diagnosis, or individual therapy. If you have persistent pain or health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider.
